COLUMBIA, S.C. – Ridge View High School graduate Malcolm Wilson has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee. Wilson is one of two student-athlete representatives selected for the committee. His term begins immediately and will run through June 30, 2022. Wilson is a sophomore at Georgetown University and is a member of the Men’s Basketball team, coached by Basketball Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing.
“Serving on the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Oversight Committee is a humbling and tremendous opportunity,” said Wilson. “I take this opportunity very seriously and will commit myself to being the best representative as possible for my teammates, the Big East Conference and all NCAA student-athletes.”
The committee is made up of seven athletics directors, two conference commissioners, two deputy/associate conference commissioners, two head coaches, and two student-athlete representatives.
