Ridge View High School announces the hiring of Alexis Moses as their new Volleyball Coach.
Coach Alexis Moses is a Ridge View alum where she played four years of volleyball. Coach Moses went on to play collegiate volleyball with South Carolina State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While at South Carolina State University she served as Captain her senior year.
Coach Moses has lots of coaching experience, she comes to Ridge View after serving two years as the Assistant Varsity and Head Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach at Richland Northeast High School. She has served two years as the South Carolina Midlands Volleyball Club 16s Performance Head Coach. She has also served as an assistant coach for Gray Collegiate Academy High and Columbia High School.
Coach Moses is excited to build a successful volleyball tradition in the Ridge View “Blazer” community.
Her coaching philosophy is: “I am a Coach because of my passion for the sport of Volleyball. My goal is to be able to better prepare these young athletes for what’s to come in life and help build better character and confidence. I want to mold a group of individuals, in a comfortable environment, to better communicate, to instill responsibility and to be able to hold themselves accountable. I believe in motivating their dreams to be their best on and off the court.”
There will be an interest meeting for all girls interested in playing Volleyball on Monday, April 22, 2019 at lunch in the RVHS Multipurpose Room. Come to this meeting to learn about the Spring and Summer workout schedule and meet Coach Moses!
Spring workouts will begin May 2 for all student-athletes that have a physical on file with the school. Workouts will continue the month of May on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm. A full schedule will be distributed at this meeting.
Those that are unable to attend the meeting will be able to download and/or pickup information that is distributed at this meeting.
